On Sound:

Graham was conceived as 60 second “audiovisual” test to introduce Graham as part of intended short form series. The clip served as a vehicle for experimenting with a visual and sonic style that compliments a non-dialogue dependent approach to short form narrative.  Graham is essentially a digital puppet, his semi 2D look is achieved through a specific rendering technique. The goal was to create a more tactile and dirty feel as opposed to the cleaner traditional cartoon look, and sound. The clock was conceived as another "character" (a comedic "antagonist"), punctuating the central theme and general subtext; 9-5 cubicle life, technology, the rise of “bullshit jobs” and failing systems, cumulating in an “explosive” release from Graham. The process was collaborative and iterative, much like creating a “tele-comic”, which helped with timing, dynamics, and overall pacing.
