DS 2: The Politics and Culture of Athens, c. 460-399 BC

This depth study draws together various elements of Athenian life – politics, thought, religion, art and drama – into one thematic whole, allowing you to gain an understanding of Athenian society in the 5th century. The component offers the opportunity to look not only at the works of historians, but also at literary, archaeological and artistic evidence, and to use these to help reconstruct the lives and thought of those who lived at this fascinating time.
