Professor Christine Cross is Head of Department, Work and Employment Studies at the University of Limerick (UL). Prior to joining UL she worked for a number of multinational organisations in both management and human resource management roles. This experience has led to a wide range of research, consultancy and publication interests covering areas such as investigating the glass ceiling; the gender pay gap; the lack of women on boards and the workforce experiences of immigrants.
Dr Ronan Carbery is Senior Lecturer in Management at Cork University Business School, University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. He is co-director of the HRResearch Centre in UCC and editor of the European Journal of Training and Development. Christine and Ronanhave co-edited a number of leading international texts includingHuman Resource Management (2019) and Human Resource Development: A ConciseIntroduction (2015).
